We are 3 wins and 2 losses moving into Saturday and currently in 24th place.   We are all tired after a long day going almost straight through from 6:30 AM till 8:30 PM.

We have good news on other awards.
According to the UL Safety Judges we are in the final few teams running for this award.
The Judges for the entrepreneurship award have been spending many hours in our pit also, another good sign.

We are very hopeful on all counts going into Saturday.

Wish us luck.

The team went out at 11:30 to do a performance check on the robot.  During match we noticed some things that needed to be fixed so we took the time to fix these items.  We did not make our 2:30 practice round because we were still working on the robot.  We made our 5:20 time, which ended up being about 5:45.  Following this match we found some more things that needed to be fixed before Friday and we accomplished this prior to the pit closing.

We are confident the robot is ready for the Friday matches now.  We are scheduled to be up at:
10:43
1:00
2:18
3:30
4:54

Saturday:
9:27
10:51

Please note the matches ran late Thursday so our times could be +/- up to 15 minutes of the times posted.
this was announced in the pits and also note our last match was 25 minutes late.

We do not have wireless connections at the Georgia Dome so please check the match standings on the FIRST web site:

The times for the practice matches on Thursday are:
11:30 AM
  2:30 PM
  5:20 PM

The robot was uncrated and no new damage was noted.

We know we have things to fix from the Wisconsin regional but it looks good that we should be able to make all of our practice matches.

It has been a long day and things are now winding down with most kids already in their rooms

We have arrived in Atlanta safe and sound.  We ate lunch at the Peachtree center mall and then we toured the Coke museum and tasked some very interesting Coke products.  After the Coke museum the students were able to play some Frisbee in Centennial Park.  We are now in the process of getting our hotel rooms and making plans for tonight.

Atlanta is less than one week away!

We will try and post to this site throughout the competition but right now we do not know if we will have internet connections at the Georgia Dome or Georgia World Conference Center.  The field postings came out last night and we are on the Galileo field.   Fancy name, but it is just one of four fields that you have to win on to get to the final four that play on the Einstein Field (center stage in the Georgia Dome), on Saturday afternoon.

W
e will be up against the best of best.

Wish us luck and check back here often.

We scored 90 points and lost..... it was a great match.  We looked good but had a penalty of 10 points, so we actually scored 100 points.

We are looking forward to the alliance picks that are to start at 11:45.

We will let you know if we get picked.  Our representative for the team during the picks is Andrew S.

For our second match on Saturday, we were placed on the Red Alliance with teams 2014 and 1985. A lot of points were scored by both alliances in hybrid mode, 24 by each side. Again, we had four points. Team 1985 knocked the ball from the over pass gaining 16 of the 24 points. We were able to accomplish two hurdles and one placement on the overpass to gain 28 points. Eight more points were earned for completing four laps giving us a total of 40 points from the round. The Red Alliance was victorious winning by the score of 74-44. Our record is now 4-4, next match at 11:08
